Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

The position involves working in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), with a likely requirement to float between the two. The nurse to patient ratio is as follows:

• ICU: 1-2 patients
• Stepdown: 3-4 patients

Role Responsibilities

The Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educating patients and families regarding care and management of conditions
• Documenting all patient interactions and care in compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neuro specialty area
• Strong background in neuro nursing
• Active and valid nursing license verification
• Completion of a skills checklist
• References from prior employers
• Current certification card in relevant nursing specialties
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
