Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to elderly residents, including those with dementia and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs and other relevant health information.
• Support residents in mobility and transfers as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in resident care planning and provide input on the residents’ needs.

Schedule and Work Hours

• Shifts: Day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM; Evening shifts are typically 8 hours.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend is required.
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday is required.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Overtime: Available as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Experience with psychiatric long-term care patients is preferred.
