ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic Critical Care Unit. This position will involve the care of patients in the Cardiac ICU and overflow from the Medical ICU (MICU), Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU, with a primary focus on cardiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to any changes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the unit

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory
• TNCC certification is preferred but not required
• Experience in high-volume, high-acuity settings is highly regarded

Schedule and Availability

• Start date: ASAP
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (4×12 hours, 19:00 – 07:30)
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend, with flexibility based on unit needs
• RTO: No more than 6 days
• Guaranteed hours: Can be called off for 1 shift per 2-week pay period

Special Requirements

• Travel pairs are preferred not to be accommodated
• Floating to other ICUs and borderline areas should be expected

Parking Information

• Daily onsite parking cost: $15 (Days M-F), $4 (Sat/Sun), $5 (Evenings), $4 (Nights)
• Offsite parking available with a shuttle service (10-minute ride), operational Monday to Friday only
• Offsite parking cost: $10 per day
