Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in a long-term acute care hospital setting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the rehabilitation process of patients while enjoying the rich culture and scenic beauty of eastern Oklahoma.

Position Details

• Number of Positions Needed: 1
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Hours per Week: Approximately 32 hours
• Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks (or until full-time position is filled)
• Reason for Opening: Gap in filling a full-time Occupational Therapist position
• Facility Setting: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital
• Floating Required: May float to other units as needed
• Preferred Experience Level: 2-3 years in an acute setting
• EMR System: Net Health for billing, paper for charting
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs (preferred, but not mandatory)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve patient functionality and quality of life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home programs.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in the relevant state.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
