Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit

Schedule

This position requires a Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30). Expect to work some weekdays and weekends, with rotating holidays. The candidate will also be required to float to different units within the organization as needed.

Unit Details

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focuses on lower acuity cardiac patients. Candidates with cardiac experience are preferred. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:3-4.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for patients in a lower acuity cardiac unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and administer medications.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed.
