CT Technologist

A CT Technologist plays a crucial role in providing quality imaging and exceptional patient care within X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT). This position requires a skilled professional who can effectively explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding and comfort throughout the process.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality imaging procedures for diagnosis and evaluation.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and obtain consent as needed.
• Deliver competent patient care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with licensed practitioners for image interpretation and equipment management.
• Possibly float to like units to meet facility needs.

Schedule

This position involves rotating shifts of 3×12 hours, which may include morning shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Every other weekend is required. Note that shifts may rotate every one to two weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology and Computed Tomography.
• Must be registered in Radiography (ARRT) and Computed Tomography (ARRT).
• Current certifications: SCRQSA, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Pending certification is acceptable if obtained within 2-3 weeks of hire.
• Experience in emergency, trauma, pediatrics, orthopedic exams in both modalities is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment, EPIC, and PACS is a plus.
• Radiation badge required, and must be provided by the agency.

Additional Information

• Requires working within a 60-mile radius.
• Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application.
• Facility may call off one shift per two weeks, guaranteeing hour stability.

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is recommended that travelers avoid confirming new assignments during this period.

Attire

Scrubs must consist of a teal blue top and black bottoms.
