Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac and Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac patient care and be skilled in telemetry monitoring.

Position Information:

• Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry
• Number of Openings: 3
• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Only if census is low

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or stepdown setting

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients; 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• EHR: Cerner

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with low level ICU skills

Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

• Chest pain
• Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Stroke/TIA
• Pre & Post Open Heart Surgery
• Pacemakers
• Heart Blocks
• Vascular conditions
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
