Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Information

We are currently seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for our Cardiac Intermediary Care Unit (IMCU). The position offers:

• Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry
• Number of Openings: 3
• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Call Requirements: Required only when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in PCU or stepdown
• Float Requirements: Yes

Unit Information

The Cardiac IMCU features:

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients; 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• EHR: Cerner
• Management: Supervised by Nursing Manager and Director
• Patient Population: Cardiac patients requiring stepdown and telemetry care

Hiring Profile

• Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience with cardiac patients, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Familiarity with PCU/Stepdown patient populations; basic low-level ICU skills
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest pain, VATS, Stroke/TIA, Pre&Post Open Heart Surgery, Pacemakers, Heart Blocks, Vascular, CHF
• Personality Fit: Strong teamwork skills are essential
• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
