Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will primarily work on the Long Term Observation unit but may also be required to float to other Med-Surg units such as Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and potentially the Emergency Department (ED) depending on skill level and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Long Term Observation unit.
• Float to other Med-Surg units as needed based on staffing requirements.
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions using telemetry skills.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain current skills in Epic EMR.
• Be available for holiday coverage as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg nursing is required.
• Proficient in reading telemetry and BCRA, with competency testing on the first day of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is required; refresher classes or one-on-one training are not available.

Additional Information

Taking call would be a very rare occurrence for this position.
