Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal or family medicine, along with the necessary certifications and skills to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting to ensure optimal patient health and well-being.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs in compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal or family medicine.
• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC.
• Proficient in IV therapy and blood withdrawal techniques.
• Recent experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Flu vaccination required, with no exemptions or declinations permitted.
• Weekend availability required; shifts will occur between 0800 and 1700.
• Flexibility to float between multiple locations within the region is necessary.

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour shift schedule, with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including weekend hours. No scheduling requests can be accommodated.

Special Requirements

• No prior travel experience is required; candidates must have a solid background in nursing practice.
• Candidate must have an active LVN license at the time of submission.
