Registered Nurse – Recovery (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Recovery unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent experience within this specialty, or be a strong Acute Care RN. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care during the recovery phase post-surgery or anesthesia.

Schedule

This position requires availability for the following schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7 PM to 7 AM

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ post-operative recovery, including vital signs and overall comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent recovery nursing experience or strong acute care nursing experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.

Holiday Expectations

Candidates must be available to work during major holidays, specifically:

• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Year’s Day

Additionally, candidates should be prepared to work one minor holiday, such as:

• Day after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• New Year’s Eve
