Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med-Surg to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various patient conditions and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Position Information

• Shift: 12 hour Nights
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: 2 weekend shifts required in a 2-week pay period
• Call Requirements: Yes

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (must have training in ACLS or comparable rhythm interpretation)
• Years of Experience: 2+ years
• Float Requirements: Yes
• Required Education: Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree

Unit Profile

• Number of Beds: 16 private rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, with 1:3 accommodations for acuity
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Paragon (McKesson)
• Patient Population: Geriatric, Adult

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patients’ health status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide respiratory assessments and support, including EKG/Cardiac monitoring
• Engage in medication titration and patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Alcohol detoxification
• Post-PCI care
• DKA/HHS management
• Cardiac conditions
• Gastrointestinal issues
• BIPAP therapy
