Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with strong orthopedic skills and general surgical experience as a secondary specialty. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Shift Details

• Shifts: 5×8 hours
• Start times: 0645, 0900, 1100, 1445
• Weekend requirements: As needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the operating room with a focus on orthopedic procedures
• Current BLS certification required
• No first-timers accepted; candidates should have strong OR experience
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Pending licenses are accepted

Additional Requirements

• On-call duty required only as needed
• Ability to accommodate block scheduling
• RTO restrictions: No more than 5 days

Facility Information

Type of facility: Acute care with a total of 317 staffed beds. This is a teaching hospital recognized for its training and educational programs.

Work Environment

Scrubs are provided, and charting is conducted using Epic (Excellian). Parking arrangements include options with validation for the first day and additional paid parking after that.
