Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) with scrub experience to join our team. This role requires proficiency in various endoscopic procedures and solid clinical skills to ensure high-quality patient care in diverse settings.

Scheduling Details

• Shift hours: 5×8 hour days (7 AM – 3 PM) or 4×10 hour days (7 AM – 5 PM)
• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: On-call rotation as needed
• Call rotation: Includes 4 weeknights per 6-week schedule, plus one weekend
• Holiday requirement: Must work one holiday or take call per 13-week contract

Required License & Certifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Pending licenses accepted for candidates with a valid single-state license from a non-compact state
• Active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required for submission

Required Clinical Skills

• Respiratory care: airway management and recovery from sedation
• Experience with equipment such as balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, and polyp snares
• Proficient in circulating and scrubbing for procedures like colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP
• Assessments and monitoring: lab values, pain management, and dysrhythmias
• Competent in obtaining 12-lead ECGs and maintaining IV lines

Unit Details and Patient Population

The patient population encompasses a broad range, including adolescents, neonates, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role will involve working in various environments, including inpatient and outpatient endoscopy centers, as well as portable and bedside settings.
