Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with experience in echocardiography and vascular imaging to join our non-invasive imaging department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of imaging studies within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and vascular exams including carotid, venous, and arterial assessments (upper and lower).
• Maintain high standards of patient care and ensure optimal imaging quality.
• Document and communicate findings in a timely manner using McKesson/CHC electronic medical records systems.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient evaluations.

Work Schedule:

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every 5-6th weekend of call
• Holiday Requirement: One holiday call per year
• On-call duty: Approximately once a week

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular imaging.
• Active certifications: BLS Certification, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS.
• Proficient in performing echocardiograms and vascular exams, with a strong emphasis on technical skill and patient care.

• Average number of scans/studies performed per day: 25-30
• Department Equipment: Primarily utilizes Philips systems.
• Radiologist in-house: Yes, Cardiologist available.

Additional Information:

• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Purple scrubs required, not provided.
• No floating or cover required for other areas.
• No IV start requirement in this department.
