Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves working as part of a float pool team, providing flexible nursing care throughout various departments within a medical facility. The role includes assignments in the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical units, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU, among others.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of shifts and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling as needed.

Shift Information

This role requires night shifts of 3×12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00.

Weekend Requirements

Staff in this position are expected to work every other weekend as part of their schedule.

On-Call Requirements

There are no on-call responsibilities associated with this position.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required. The unit welcomes first-time travelers.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers must be available to work during major holidays. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, both are required. If three major holidays are present, the traveler must work at least two of them.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with required documentation is necessary to ensure timely start dates. If compliance is not achieved, there may be a delay of up to two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Orientation hours vary based on contract length.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate as travelers. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial, as block schedule requests cannot be accommodated for float pool staffing.
