Registered Nurse (RN): Pediatrics/PICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing. This role requires the ability to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients while frequently floating to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Prior NICU experience is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a PICU setting.
• Float to the NICU as needed to provide support and care to newborns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform assessments and monitor patients’ conditions regularly.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and treatment options.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid nursing license in the state of practice.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a focus in Pediatrics and PICU preferred.
• NICU experience is required.
• Completion of all required certifications prior to the start date.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Orientation

Orientation for new hires occurs biweekly on Mondays. Please refer to the schedule for specific dates.

Special Instructions

All travelers must provide required certifications before starting. Additional certifications may be necessary as per job requirements. HANDLE WITH CARE certification is mandatory for all acute RNs.
