Acute Travel RN – Med Surg

Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg. This role is primarily focused on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients within the medical-surgical unit.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Assist with coordination of patient discharges and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• 1-2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in a Med Surg setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing clinical situations.

Additional Information

This role involves working within the region’s largest and most comprehensive emergency department and critical care units. Candidates must be willing to take on travel assignments and may be expected to work at multiple locations within the region as needed.
