Xray Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Xray Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, particularly with operating room (OR) and C-arm experience. This position requires flexibility and the ability to cover various imaging areas as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging studies, including outpatient exams, OR procedures, and portable imaging.
• Utilize advanced equipment including Siemens rooms and Carestream portables.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of radiology equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare personnel.
• Participate in department orientation and training as directed by the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety and health protocols in the radiology unit.
• Respond to on-call requests as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Experience with OR and C-arm procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with EPIC and PACS systems is preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

Work Environment

The Radiology department is equipped with three X-ray rooms and five portable units, managed by a team committed to providing high-quality imaging services. The technologist will be required to float to the Pain Clinic when necessary.

Scrubs and Dress Code

Staff members can wear royal blue scrubs, or OR scrubs provided by the department.

Additional Information

• Orientations will include both in-person and online modules. Clinicians must be present in the state for the orientation week.
• There are no holiday requirements unless assistance is needed on Memorial Day.
