Job Description

Education: Graduate with ARRT Registry

The role of the Imaging/Radiologic Technologist involves performing a range of technical procedures that require the use of ionizing radiation. This position demands independent judgment and technical expertise to deliver optimal radiography that aids in diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

Perform CT and X-Ray examinations.
Produce radiographs utilizing appropriate technical factors and evaluate each film for accurate exposure and positioning.
Schedule examinations and provide clear instructions to patients regarding their preparation for exams.
Set up and organize rooms for various radiographic procedures.

Accountability

The Imaging/Radiologic Technologist directly reports to the Imaging Services Manager.

Excellent communication skills with colleagues, physicians, patients, and their families.
Ability to adjust in a dynamic environment involving diverse personalities and projects.
Problem-solving capabilities and independent judgment in varying situations, including emergencies.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adept communication skills both orally and in writing.
Show sensitivity to the needs of patients and co-workers, ensuring quality service is recognized and provided.

Physical

Flexibility to work in an environment with changing conditions.
Manual dexterity needed to operate imaging equipment and manage patient care.
Ability to lift and transfer patients, with or without assistance, and maneuver equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
Agility required for frequent changes in position and handling patients.
Good visual and auditory acuity is essential for feedback and communication with patients.
Position includes periods of stooping, standing, bending, and moderate lifting.
