Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing care to both inpatient and outpatient populations, with an average daily census of 13 patients. This position involves working with adults and geriatric patients, addressing a variety of diagnoses including neuro, ortho, respiratory issues, and general weakness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapy and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize EPIC and Wllsky documentation systems for maintaining accurate patient records.
• Communicate effectively using the SBAR method to provide clear updates on patient progress.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and engage with diverse patient populations.

Additional Information

This position requires a commitment to working day shifts, with five 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 16:30. The unit consists of 18 rooms and accommodates up to 22 patients. The ideal candidate should be open to working with first-time occupational therapists.
