Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and protocols. Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – Required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification – Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification – Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification – Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification – Required

Essential Functions

• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop patient care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implement care plans, coordinating delivery of care and promoting health in a safe environment.
• Evaluate patient progress towards outcomes.
• Identify desired outcomes for patients and their situations.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health information and treatment plans.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate responsibilities and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
