Required Certifications

• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• Certification with ARNA preferred

• Float Requirements: Must float as needed

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 269
• IR Angiosuite: 1
• IR Holding Area Beds: 5
• Patient Ratios: 1-1 in Imaging
• Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors
• EMR: CERNER transitioning to EPIC in October 2024

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Imaging Department while monitoring patient conditions.
• Observe and document vital signs as applicable.
• Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving fluids.
• Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort as needed.
• Administer medications under the direction of a physician.
• Assist with various procedures in the Imaging Department.
• Ensure interaction with patients of diverse age groups and backgrounds.
• Maintain IV skills and emergency equipment utilized in patient care.
• Act as a liaison between the Imaging Department and patient care division, responsible for proper documentation and communication regarding patient care.
• Coordinate changes in Imaging policies and procedures affecting patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Imaging Director.
• Provide excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion.

Preferred Skillset/Experience

• Experience handling invasive and non-invasive procedures in an IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic settings.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in critical care nursing situations.
