Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/IMC MedSurg

We are seeking a competent and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in a Telemetry and Intermediate Care Medical Surgical setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence in practice and possess strong clinical decision-making skills to manage patients with diverse diagnoses and acuity levels.

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families as per their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and timely.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers while identifying pertinent issues and resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact license.

Position Requirements:

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, and initial on-boarding requirements will be validated through competency assessments.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.

Work Schedule:

This position requires working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
