NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated NICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing critical care to neonates in a Level III NICU environment, managing complex patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with families and guide them through the care process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Shifts and Scheduling

• Open to 3×12 or 4×12-hour shift options.
• Weekend shifts will be scheduled every other weekend, with potential to exceed based on unit needs.
• Requests for time-off due to outside employment will not be accommodated.
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a NICU setting.
• Current certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS.
• First-time travelers in the NICU setting are accepted.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.

Additional Information

• Floating to similar units may be required, depending on the needs of the unit.
• Free parking is available for all staff.
• Charting is done through the Epic system.
• Guaranteed hours are provided, with the facility allowed to call off one shift every two weeks.
