Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN): Med/Surg (Neuro, Ortho, Peds)

We are seeking a skilled Acute Travel Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care in a dynamic and specialized environment. This role focuses on the Med/Surg unit, specifically working with Neuro, Orthopedic, and Pediatric patients.

Position Information:

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Night Shift (7P – 7A)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes, to inpatient units

Unit Profile:

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Electronic Health Record: Paragon, transitioning to Cerner on March 1, 2024
• Patient Population: All ages over 28 days
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Trauma, Post-operative Orthopedic/Neuro, General Pediatric Care

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med/Surg, with a preferred 2+ years of Pediatric experience
• Required Certifications: BLS; PALS is preferred
• Personality Fit: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential
