Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our team. Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, you will be responsible for treating patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer treatments to patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training.
• Record and document patients’ progress and report results to the supervising physical therapist.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Engage proactively in managing and building your caseload in accordance with facility expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current Texas or compact license is required.

Work Schedule

This position involves 8-hour day shifts, with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.

Guaranteed Hours Policy

Therapy travelers are expected to remain onsite and available to work the guaranteed hours. If patient volume does not meet the guaranteed hours, the traveler is encouraged to reschedule or complete any remaining treatments when appropriate based on the patient’s plan of care.
