Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for supervising and directing nursing staff, coordinating patient care with other healthcare disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment to provide high-quality care.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Experience in an acute care facility – Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor as per policy – Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor as per policy – Required
Essential Functions
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops care plans with prescribed interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe health environment.
- Monitors and evaluates patient progress toward attaining outcomes.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provides educational resources for patients and their families.
- Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates responsibilities among healthcare team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
