Cath Lab/IR/Neuro Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab/IR/Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in a cardiac catheterization lab, including proficiency in conscious and moderate sedation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients undergoing various cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of technical and support staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Manage hemodynamics, document procedures accurately, and assist in the preparation and recovery of patients.
• Participate in on-call rotations for urgent and emergent cases as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and procedural protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of current cath lab experience.
• Current California RN License.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (both must be through AHA), and NIHSS.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Number of Suites: 5, serving various types of cases including cardiac coronary, vascular, peripheral, and neuro interventions.
• Daily case volume ranges from 10 to 22.
• Cross-training for permanent staff is available; however, travelers must have current cath lab experience.

Work Environment

• Standard shifts are 4×10 hours starting between 0630 and 0730.
• Weekend availability is required for on-call scheduling, although the unit is not open on weekends.
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
