Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials. This role requires a keen understanding of nuclear medicine principles, patient care, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor their responses.
• Collate and analyze imaging data to assist in diagnoses.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials.
• Educate patients on procedures and provide exemplary patient care throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience is not required.
• Applicants must be licensed in their respective states; pending state licenses will be accepted with the stipulation that the license must be obtained within four weeks of submission for the position.

Work Schedule

This position primarily operates on a day shift, working five 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 17:00. There is no weekend or on-call requirement, and floating between units is not expected.

Facility and Equipment

The position is located in an outpatient facility, and the scrub color is flexible. Charting is done through the EPIC system.
