Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maternal and newborn care, providing compassionate and quality care to expectant mothers and their infants.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for patients in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn units.
• Assist with special procedures such as Vaginal and Cesarean Deliveries, and circulate in the OR.
• Administer blood and blood products, IV medication, and manage various pumps including epidural and PCA.
• Perform assessments and interventions for patients with specific conditions such as insulin and magnesium sulfate management.
• Float to different units as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

• Labor and Delivery
• Post-Partum care
• OB Triage
• Antepartum care
• Normal Newborn care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including Post-Partum and Newborn care.
• Active Compact License is honored at all facilities.
• Current certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP; ACLS preferred.
• Proficient in circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and starting IVs.

Staffing Ratio

The staff-to-patient ratio is maintained at 1:1 to 3, ensuring high-quality nursing care.

Shift Details

This position requires availability for day shifts, consisting of 4 shifts per week, each lasting 12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
