Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, demonstrating the ability to handle high-acuity patients across various specialties.

Position Details

• Start Date: October 26
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a general emergency department setting
• Weekend Requirement: Yes (unless schedule specifies otherwise)
• Floating: Required within the hospital
• Block Schedule: Not available
• Local Candidates: Accepted
• RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 1 week

Qualifications

• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC
• CEN certification preferred
• Exceptional evaluations from management or director-level references

Unit Information

This unit handles a variety of high-acuity patient types, including those with oncology, cardiology, and transplant histories. Additionally, the emergency department sees a small pediatric population alongside a significant number of psych and behavioral health patients. The facility features:

• 27 patient rooms with the ability to flex into hallway beds
• Vertical care area staffed by EMS for enhanced patient flow

Guaranteed Hours

In the event of low patient census, healthcare providers may be reassigned without charge or placed on-call for standard rates in 4-hour increments, up to 1 shift’s worth of hours within a 2-week cycle. For surgical and ambulatory services not operational on weekends and holidays, scheduling of travelers will not occur.
