Pediatric Physical Therapist

Position Details

The Pediatric Physical Therapist will join the Outpatient Rehabilitation team, specializing in pediatric care. This role primarily involves working with children in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Work Schedule

• Approximately 8–9-hour shifts
• Monday/Tuesday: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• No weekends or on-call requirements

Orientation

New hires will undergo a one-week orientation, with additional training available based on individual experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of pediatric physical therapy experience
• Current BLS certification
• Preferred experience working with pediatric patients in a rehabilitation setting

Patient Population

The Pediatric Physical Therapist will work with children facing a variety of diagnoses and developmental needs, including:

• Torticollis
• Acquired or traumatic brain injury
• Spinal cord injury
• Gross motor delays
• Toe walking
• Cerebral palsy
• Orthopedic conditions
• Other pediatric rehabilitation needs

Additional Requirements and Expectations

• Complete orientation on onsite specialty equipment
• Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as other interdisciplinary team members
• Build strong, ongoing relationships with patients and families through regular weekly visits
• Provide clear and effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Demonstrate strong time-management skills when completing evaluations and documentation
• Implement evidence-based practices in a pediatric rehabilitation setting
• Exhibit dependability and a collaborative spirit while working within a multidisciplinary team
