Interventional Radiology Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in radiologic technology, particularly in interventional procedures, and will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment and assisting healthcare professionals during procedures.

Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• On-call requirements: from 5 PM to 7 AM, with weekend call rotation every fourth weekend, subject to staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiologic technology
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures
• Collaborate effectively with a team of Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies as required
• Utilize appropriate technology including EPIC, PACS, and Siemens Artis-Q machines

Qualifications

• Graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• New York State Radiologic License required
• BLS Certification required
• ARRT Certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology; 2 years preferred

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate medical imaging equipment and software including EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and PURE Software
• Familiarity with common drips such as Heparin infused Saline
• Potential to support C-Arm in Operating Room or Endoscopy procedures
