Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an 80-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. This position focuses on delivering high-quality care and specialized treatment to individuals recovering from severe injuries or illnesses.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:6/7 for RNs; 1:10/12 for CNAs
• Equipment: Standard hospital equipment, lift equipment available, no ventilators
• EHR: EPIC
• Patient Population: Adults aged 18 and above

• Openings: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: RN license, CNA certification
• Experience: Not required
• Float Requirements: May float within the rehabilitation unit

Common Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care based on established protocols and individualized treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition using electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, orthopedics, and other conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about post-discharge care and rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• Required Education: RN and CNA certifications
• Must Have Skills: Acute care experience, including IV starts, feeding tubes, ostomies, and wound care
• Preferred Experience: Rehabilitation experience, although not mandatory
• Common Diagnoses: Post-surgical care, stroke recovery, cardiac rehabilitation, hemodialysis
• Personality Fit: Must demonstrate high accountability, be a team player, and maintain a patient-focused approach with strong customer service skills
