Acute Travel RN – Med Surg

Position Overview

The Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a dynamic hospital setting. This position requires a dedicated and skilled nurse to join the team, focusing on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Shift Information

• Shift: Nights
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As needed
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 48
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• EHR: Paragon

Patient Population

The position involves working with a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of medical and surgical needs.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: NIH, ACLS, BLS
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year, including at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Must Have Skills/Experience:
  • Ability to start IVs
  • Insertion of Foley catheters
  • Insertion of NG tubes
  • Experience performing EKGs
  • Experience with heparin drips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Familiarity with a 1:6 patient ratio and high turnover environments

Additional Notes

Rare and unlikely floating to inpatient rehab or emergency department for task assistance may be required. Candidates must possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering the highest level of care to patients.
