Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a dynamic acute care environment. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to trauma patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs and assessments, implementing nursing interventions as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and management of equipment used in ICU.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a trauma setting required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to float to other ICU/TELE units based on facility needs.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Scheduling Information

• Shift Type: Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00).
• Weekend availability is required.
• A maximum of two days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed, with one holiday approved.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week; client may cancel up to three shifts during the assignment.
• No specific scrub colors required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted.
• Charting is conducted using Cerner.
• Free parking available for staff.
