Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Neuro

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Neuro unit. This position is critical in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Must work at least every other holiday

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown neuro unit.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• At least 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty area of Stepdown Neuro is required.
• PCU/Progressive Care experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification is required.
• Successful completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate is required during orientation.
