Medical/Telemetry Nurse

Job Overview

Seeking a dedicated Medical/Telemetry Nurse with recent experience in a comparable facility or larger. This role requires proficiency in both Basic Life Support (BLS) and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Recent Med/Telemetry nursing experience at a facility with 220 beds or larger.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certification in NIHSS.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work every 4th weekend, ensuring comprehensive coverage in patient care.
