Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Shift Information

The position offers 12-hour shifts, requiring 3 shifts per week with availability for on-call as needed. Please note that block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible parties.
• Utilize nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
• Contribute to a positive workplace environment by effectively managing conflicts using professional communication skills.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education to maintain nursing proficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records for all patients.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.

Holiday coverage may be required. This position focuses on providing exceptional patient care in various specialized units, including but not limited to:
