ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in critical care nursing, particularly within a community hospital setting. This role requires a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care, as well as the ability to work weekends and float between units as needed.

Shift Details

• 12-Hour Day Shifts: 07:00 – 19:30
• Full-time opportunities: 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex health issues.
• Float between Medical/Surgical Telemetry and Telemetry units as required, ensuring care remains within the scope of practice.
• Utilize Accudose for medication administration.
• Document patient interactions and interventions using Cerner.
• Communicate effectively using SBAR techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care nursing.
• Community hospital experience is required.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• Proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with pulmonary artery line monitoring and central line care/management.
• Skilled in starting IVs, care of ventilated patients, and ventilator management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
