Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care team. As an integral part of our healthcare environment, you will provide essential rehabilitation services to patients, contributing to their recovery and overall wellness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting.
• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Engage patients and their families in the therapeutic process to encourage adherence to care plans.

Schedule

This position involves a day shift, working five 8-hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:00, with a rotation that includes working one weekend per month. Compensation days will be provided on both sides of the weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have current Washington state Occupational Therapist license.
• Prior experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Work Environment

The position may require floating between various units within the facility. Expected patient-to-therapist ratios are 8-9:1 during shifts. The facility operates within a Short Term Acute Care/Level III Trauma Center, with a total of 104 staffed beds.
