Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in various medical situations, including orthopedic and neuro cases, as well as managing bariatric surgeries and general medical needs.

Position Details

• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3×12 Night Shift (19:00 – 07:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift every 2 weeks)

Qualifications

• License: Must have an Alaska RN license in hand to qualify for an auto offer. Candidates with a pending license are accepted but must complete the AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing, including submitting fingerprints and application fee.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant nursing role.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Floating: May float to like units based on facility needs.
• Weekend Requirements: Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs.

Unit Information

The ideal candidate will work in a unit that manages a variety of patients, including:

• Ortho patients
• Neuro patients
• Morbidly obese patients
• Bariatric surgeries
• General medical patients

This is a Magnet Facility and is recognized as one of the Best Hospitals in Alaska by U.S. News & World Report. It is equipped with 407 staffed beds and utilizes Epic for charting. Free parking is available for all staff.

All requests for time off will be considered on an individual basis upon receiving an offer. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission.
