Respiratory Therapist – NICU

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with specialized experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) to provide compassionate care and support to our tiniest patients. This role involves working closely with medical teams to ensure the best outcomes for infants requiring respiratory support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for neonatal patients, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Utilize advanced respiratory support technologies such as nitric oxide therapy, jet ventilation, and oscillator ventilation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in patient education and support for families regarding respiratory therapies and care techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Must have Level 3 NICU experience.
• Demonstrated competence in the use of nitric oxide, jet ventilation, and oscillator ventilation.
• Valid respiratory therapy license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Schedule:

This position requires night shifts comprising three 12-hour shifts each week. Weekend work is expected every other weekend as per collective bargaining agreements.

The position may involve floating between units based on patient acuity and staffing needs.
