Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients following established care standards and the nursing process.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines. This role necessitates the utilization of critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• Acute care facility experience – Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – Required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS – Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS – Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS – Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale – Required

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develops a comprehensive plan prescribing interventions to attain desired outcomes.
• Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety.
• Evaluates progress toward the achievement of outcomes.
• Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and compassionate care environment.
• Provides educational opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
• Delivers health information directly to patients, families, and treatment teams.
• Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
