Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical unit. The role includes essential responsibilities in patient care and support in a short-term acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and post-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records through electronic charting.

Requirements

• Must possess current BLS certification.
• Experience in a medical-surgical unit is preferred.
• Ability to float between units as needed.
• Availability to work weekends, with a minimum requirement of every other weekend.
• This position requires occasional on-call responsibilities.

Shift Details

Full-time shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour days, with a typical shift starting at 07:00 and ending at 19:00. Block scheduling is not available.
