Cath Lab Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our team in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of cardiac procedures and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional therapies.
• Perform necessary procedural responsibilities such as equipment setup and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate competency in age-specific care, particularly for middle and older adult patients.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in rotating call schedules as needed to meet departmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Tech.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS are required.
• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including but not limited to:
• Cardiac Implant Closure Device
• Cardiac Stent Placement
• Diagnostic Catheterizations for Adults
• IABP Placement/Removal
• Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
• Left Heart Catheterization
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Right Heart Catheterization
• Rotablader Atherectomy
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Must have an active license to practice; no pending licenses will be accepted.

Schedule

This position involves working a schedule of 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. Flexibility with weekend scheduling is required, with the expectation to work 2-3 weekends per contract.

Additional Information

Parking is complimentary, and a parking permit will be provided during orientation. Required scrub colors will be supplied.
