Cath Lab Tech

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech for a vibrant opportunity in an acute care setting. This role requires collaboration with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment.

Schedule

• Shift: 3×12 Days (0630-1900)
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cath Lab Tech is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS.
• Active license required to apply (pending licenses not accepted).
• Availability for on-call shifts as necessary, rotating among staff and agency personnel.
• Preferred RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.

Clinical Skills and Experience

• Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath labs.
• Skills in Cardiac procedures such as:
  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • IABP Placement/Removal
  • Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
  • Left/Right Heart Catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Rotablator Atherectomy
  • Scrub Procedures
• Proficient in equipment setup and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Strong understanding of infection control procedures, including Isolation Precautions and Sterile Technique.
• Required to demonstrate age-specific competencies for Middle and Older Adults.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is mandatory.
