Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Intermediate Care unit. This role involves caring for a variety of patient populations, including those who are intermediate medical patients, and those requiring high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Variability in scheduling
• Holiday Expectations: Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care unit.
• Monitor and manage patients’ conditions, including those on RA to BIPAP or Optiflow.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Intermediate Care or a related specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• NIHSS certification is a plus.
