Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Progressive Care Unit. This position involves providing care for patients with neurological conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being while closely monitoring their progress and responding to their needs.

Position Details

• Department: Neuro Progressive Care Unit
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Ratio: 5:1
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• EHR System: Cerner

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with stable post-stroke conditions, neurological surgery needs, telemetry patients, and general medical patients.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and document care provided.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Required Certifications: Valid nursing license in state of practice.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in neuro critical care or telemetry.

Additional Information

• Floating Requirements: Ability to float to Medical, Telemetry, and Neonatal Units as needed.
• Weekend Requirements: Participation in weekend shifts may be necessary.
• Dress Code: Professional scrubs are required.
• Common Diagnoses: Stable post-stroke, stable neuro-surgery patients, telemetry needs, and general medical conditions.
